The CPU was, some years ago, a very important issue when deciding to buy a particular computer however these days the CPU you get with even a basic computer is very good and is normally above 2 GHz. The CPU is something that you can upgrade so you may want to do this in a few years time.

Memory isn't something you want to skimp on because it does have a big impact on the performance. Memory is relatively cheap so it would be a bad move to go for a computer with low memory.
